Two tips for healthy holiday teeth!
Thanksgiving is a holiday in which we celebrate by gathering with family and friends. But on Thanksgiving, another way we celebrate is by eating, eating, and more eating. We want to be sure that you also brush… and brush… and brush some more! Here are two tips that will make your Thanksgiving festivities easy on your teeth.
1 No Soda
On everyone’s Thanksgiving table, there is plenty of foods being passed that already have ample amounts of sugar. Even on this day of thanks, it is important to not forget your dental health. On top of the given sugars, don’t add drinking soda to the mix. Instead of drinking soda, drink milk and water with your meal. Doing so will spare your teeth the stains and decay caused by soda. Water will rinse away any sugar or bacteria in your mouth. The cleaner you keep your mouth in between meals, means the less likely you have a chance of developing a cavity.
2 Be prepared
Since the majority of your day will be spent eating, make sure to brush in between meals so that the things that bring harm to your teeth don’t sit for too long and begin to build up. Whether you are spending the holiday at home or traveling to be with family and friends, don’t forget to bring your toothbrush and floss with you.
